So angry, I can't sleep
So sad, that I can't even weep
Can't fathom, sorrow feels so deep
Still, sure I am,
I will find a way

To face the new day

With hope in my heart

and smile on my face

A couplet to enjoy.. (its in hindi)

Arz kiya hai,

zikr julfon ka teri, aata hai jab zubaan pe meri

Aisa lagta hai, Aisa lagta hai,

Jaise muh mein baal aa gaya ho :)

This is something I wrote, in 1995.. and it was impromptu...one of my friend asked me..why have you started writing poetry..and my answer was

Dard jo beh raha hai banke zehar rago mein meri,

Jaane kyun log usko key dete hain shayri

Kosa jo tumne muhe, wo raha mujhpe ehsaan tera,

Bahane isi zubaan pe teri, hamara naam to aaya

Kar liya kabool hamne, zannat yahin, dozakh yahin

Ek tere hothon ki hansi, to dooza teri aankhon mein nami

Translation

I accept that both heaven and hell are here on earth,

One is smile on your face and other is your moist eyes
